From Stephen’s Website:
This is a Carve Top guitar for the discerning musician who wants everything done right. If you are sick and tired of factory guitars with mediocre Maple on questionable Mahogany with boorish machine carving, this is the guitar for you.
Gorgeous, light weight, fast and tonally responsive – step up to the plate and knock it out of the park with a Marchione Carve-Top.
When I first opened my studio on 20th street in Manhattan in 1993 I made a few blonde CTs with black hardware and those old decals. I recently discovered a handful of the old decals and started thinking about doing a Marchione 1993 Vintage Re-Issue. The carving pattern on this top and the beautiful wood really reminded me of that time and inspired this special guitar. It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years, but I love making guitars now more than I ever did!
My original design features the sophisticated carving patterns that I use on my Archtops. All the hardware is proprietary Marchione designed, like on the Neck-through, and this guitar has a great track record. I’ve built them for Mark Knopfler, Vernon Reid, and John Abercrombie – all of whom have cut CD’s with them.
*This model is available as a volt neck electric guitar or as a set net electric guitar. The set neck is a one of a kind handmade, premium guitar.
