Gibson’s Custom Shop has carefully recreated Joe Walsh’s’ prized an infamous 1960 Les Paul. Joe’s ’60 Les Paul has a Tangerine Burst finish, flamed maple top and all the period correct features. Like all 2013 Historic Les Pauls the neck is attached using hide glue, the vintage-accurate Aniline dye finish is applied to the mahogany back and sides and the binding has that accurate aged hue. Gibson Custom has also re-engineered the truss rod, truss rod washer, and anchor to their original 1960 form. Along with Custom Bucker pickups, vintage CTS potentiometers and bumble bee capacitors, Gibson Custom can deliver that sought after ’60 Les Paul tone.
